these elements, but none has the combination of all of them. Customised support ensures that companies can access the heart of England’s commercial opportunities easily.

The Heart of England provides easy access to the UK’s 60 million, and the European Union’s 499 million consumers. We’re at the centre of the UK’s rail and road network, with Birmingham International Airport offering daily direct flights to the USA, Middle East & Asia as well as all main European business cities.

The Heart of England has 40,000 students studying computer science and/or business studies in our universities in any one year. Those universities provide a talent pool of 4,850 skilled IT graduates every year. The region also has two of the UK’s top 5 business schools (Aston and Warwick).

With a population of 7 million people within 1 hour of the centre of Birmingham and 13 universities, the region is a centre for the IT industry.
